Letter from the Chairman Agostino Gallozzi

In these days of great concern in Italy, our accountability is twofold.

First of all, we are committed to protecting and safeguarding the health of each of us, of our families, of our loved ones, in what is a individual and collective priority call to social responsibility.

At the same time, production activities are not to be stopped to ensure continuity in the country’s economic life, so as to return to look with new optimism towards our future, as soon as possible.

The initiatives taken by our government go in this direction, with the support of the best experts in health and science, in a combination of rules, prohibitions, foreclosures, but also the possibility – for certain sectors – of continuing to go to work, minimizing however the risk of contagion, with the closure of the departments not connected to production urgencies.

Interpreting this difficult context, Marina d’Arechi is operative, following rigorously the safety and prevention protocol provided for by the current law decree, adapting to any subsequent further variation of the law.

In order to safeguard the health of our customers, workers and those who interact with us, the company has adopted the necessary measures to protect the health and safety of all:

  1. Introduction of the behavioral rules indicated by the national competent authorities, such as a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between people, a ban on any close physical contact, a ban on gathering, sanitizing environments, frequent hand washing;
  2. Possible reception at the marina only by appointment, in consideration that, however, in the light of the most recent provisions, the population is exclusively authorized to leave their house to go to work, for living essentials shopping or for medical reasons;
  3. Smart working”, with limited staff coverage of our offices and activities carried out, in rotation, from home as well, thus welcoming the requests expressed in this sense by our government.

Marina d’Arechi team, either present in the office or connected via remote workstation, remains at your disposal, from 09.00 to 19.00 every day, answering the telephone and email contacts indicated below, while – until new government provisions – our shipyard activities are suspended, with access prohibition to the technical areas.

I wish to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who make up our country’s extraordinary health system. With enormous dedication and personal sacrifice, they are offering themselves to the assistance of those who are sick and suffering. We will never forget it.

We all sea lovers know well that in the storm real sailors emerge, brave women and men capable of facing adversity with confidence and determination, optimistic because they are aware that after the storm the good weather always comes again. With this spirit, which can equally be transferred to the moments we are living in Italy, I wish everyone to enjoy a “good wind”, a good wind that will take us soon back to where the sea is calm and blue, wiping away the worries of these days and at the end… Everything will be fine!
